Unity 101 working with Itchen College

Unity 101 Community Radio is pleased to announce that Itchen Sixth Form College will be joining us with its students broadcasting their very own show on 101.1FM,online www.unity101.org and on smart phones. The show will be aired every Monday afternoon 2pm to 3pm. The show will be a celebration of the city of Southampton, talking about the city’s history, places to go and places to see, all accompanied by popular music.

Itchen’s Media Technician Richard Stevens said, “We’re really excited! Itchen Radio has been broadcasting in the college since 2005, giving students the opportunity to experience radio broadcasting. I’m proud of our students who’ve worked extremely hard over the years so it’s great to know that they will be heard on FM radio across Southampton. We’re really grateful for this opportunity and I’m sure our students will make the most of it.”
