Unity 6th Celebrations

Community Champions

350 guests from different cultures were all united in celebrating the achievements of community champions. Unity volunteers, VIP’s, dignitaries from public, private and voluntary sector, senior principals, chancellors of colleges and universities attended the glitzy black tie event. They all enjoyed award winners, diverse entertainment and 3 course dinner. The work Unity 101 does with volunteers and partners, has implications for community cohesion and development as it provides a practical example for other groups to emulate. It certainly caught the imagination of both the community and the media. Someone remarked that it felt like a ‘mini United Nations Conference’
